I'm new to Toccoa Assemly of God church.
What to expect when you come. Let us try to answer some questions that you might have.
What to wear? Our interest is in people, not what they are wearing. You will find others wearing anything from jeans to dress clothes.
When to come? The best time to get started is this Sunday at 10:45 a.m., but you are welcome at any of our events or services.
What is the easiest way to get there? Turn at Arby's on Skyline Drive across from the Belk/Ingles shopping center. Then take a left at the 4-way intersection onto Rothell Road. TAG will be just down the hill on the left.
Where should I go when I get there? You can enter through the double glass doors on the parking lot side of the church. Inside the doors you will find the Hospitality Room on the left. Stop by, get a cup of coffee and a snack. You will also find information there about the church and meet some of the family.
What is the service like? Our services are about experiencing God's presence. Instead of mere professionalism, our aim is to follow the leading of God's Spirit. Because of that, the structure of the service may vary from week to week. You will see people passionately worshiping and praying. Some will have there hands lifted and their voices raised, while others may be quietly seeking God in their chairs. The front is always open for people to come and pray. Again the desire is not to have a ceremony but to genuinely pursue God's presence and be changed by Him.
Is there something for my kids? Yes, definitely. We are a family that loves kids. During the first part of the service, we encourage the family to worship God together. We want our kids going after God's presence right along with the adults. Then our kids will go back to the fellowship hall for a time of teaching and praying that is directed right to them. Our nursery is off the entry hallway and is available at any time.
